Mission Emphasis - WORLD HUNGER
- Baby Watch Team (Ms. June Keith) - Prayer warriors committed to being in prayer watch over a specific expectant mother, new mother and young mothers and their children (Implemented in September 2014)
- Monday Morning Sunshine Ministry - A group that will take time each Monday morning to call those in the church who are hospitalized, recently discharged or home sick and just check on them and give a hug by phone
- Birthday Highlighters (Mrs. Sherry Hall) - Small group of women willing to send out birthday cards each month to members on their birthdays
- Operation Hugz Ministry- (Ms. Vonnel Cargile/Mrs. Susie Black)- A small group focused on our homebound. Send a "thinking of you card" monthly or phone calls to check on them. This will help the church and deacons know when special needs arise. (Implemented in September 2014)
- Dried beans with a message - Label bags of dried beans with scripture message and words of encouragement ans supply to the Christian Ministry center for outreach. (Focus in October for World Hunger Month) (Oct.-Nov. - 122 Food bags were made and distributed to our Christian Ministry Center and a Family in need)
- Christmas Card Swap - In-house card swap benefiting the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
- Christmas Cheer - Make fruit and candy plantes for homebound and nursing home members and plan a day for delivery as group (Dec. Meeting - 18 Baskets were made for delivery)
- Compassion Bags - Donate toothbrushes, bar soap, small tooth paste, band-aides, pair of socks, travel size shampoo, deo., etc. Pack in quart bags with scripture. Donate to Kentucky or Ministry Ctr.
- Teenage/New Mother Mission - Wrap a diaper with yellow ribbon and message from our church (First delivery to local hospitals was made in December 2014)
- Food on Friday - Collect and donate snacks to schools for "go home" Friday bags
- Emergency Child Care for Members - Available for brief emergency child care for our young moms.
- Garage Sale Give-a-way - Host a closed door give-a-way to families in need. Provide donated household/clothing items from church members (Benefit Garage Sale was sponsored by ILBC with assistance from WMU for a local family in January 2015)
